Aidan
Counselling Intern

Qualifications:
Currently completing the Diploma of Applied Psychology and Counselling Specializing in Addiction
Originally from Montréal, Québec, I grew up in a diverse environment that fostered my curiosity about people's life stories. Eight years ago, I moved to Golden, British Columbia, where I have since made my home.

My life experiences have shaped my passion for mental health where I found a path that resonates with my core values. Recognizing a significant gap, particularly the need for young male counsellors, I felt inspired to make a meaningful contribution. Having faced my own challenges with ADHD, addiction, and childhood trauma, I understand what it’s like to struggle and to seek support. That’s why I’m committed to helping others find their path to healing. I genuinely enjoy building trusting relationships and creating a safe space for those who need it. As an intern, I am committed to continuously learning and growing to provide the best support I can.

When I’m not working, I love spending time outdoors whether it’s paragliding, mountain biking, snowmobiling, or skiing. While I have been an athlete all my life, I also express my creativity through photography and filmmaking. One of my guiding principles is to keep stepping outside of my comfort zone, embracing new challenges and the growth they bring.
